Blatantly pushing the boundary between art photography and porn, Joey Moon’s “cum to jesus” series of medium-scale color photographs juxtaposes cum shots with centrally-placed silver crucifix jewelry. Scanned from Polaroids for that reality effect—amateur internet porn?—Moon’s images eschew subtlety to make their point about the gross proximity of commerce, sex and religion hard and fast. A digital picture of peeps crucified on chocolate crosses amid a field of cellophane grass and an audience of their milling marshmallow brethren makes a similar point, replacing sex with chocolate—as some are wont to do.
