COVID-19
Are you an artist whose work has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic? Have you had an exhibition cancelled or closed? Have you been making art in isolation?

The 60 wrd/min art critic, along with the rest of the art world, remains under quarantine for the protection of the greater population, and will for the foreseeable future. But she is available to write reviews, free of charge, about:

-shows that were cancelled,
-shows that have been postponed,
-shows that were shuttered,
-shows that are only online,
-shows that are open by limited appointment only,
-and art made during quarantine.

All requests that fulfill the above requirements will be accepted, in the order in which they are received. Reviews of approximately 200 words each will be written daily and published upon completion, with an accompanying image, on 60wrdmin.org; they will also appear regularly in The Quarantine Times.

If you need a review, please email critic@60wrdmin.org. Include documentation or links for the exhibition/artwork to be reviewed, plus any relevant details (date, size, materials, location, context, etc.). Any other information, including biographic, is optional.

The “60 wrd/min art critic” is a project by Lori Waxman, the Chicago Tribune’s art critic and a professor of art history at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her most recent book is Keep Walking Intently (Sternberg Press, 2017).
